The Hollow Men is a site-specific exhibition by Giulia Cenci at Palazzo Strozzi’s new Project Space, curated by Arturo Galansino.
Blending sculpture, installation, and drawing, Cenci transforms industrial remnants and everyday materials into hybrid landscapes populated by human-animal forms.
Referencing T.S. Eliot’s 1925 poem, her “hollow men” evoke figures suspended between life and death, exploring themes of fragility, memory, and transformation.
The exhibition challenges boundaries between nature and artifice, past and present. With this show, Palazzo Strozzi launches a dynamic new venue for emerging art, fostering experimentation and public engagement in the heart of Florence.
